Dear Kevin

Dear Kevin,

I see you. I see the 12-year-old boy who faced terror no child should ever know—the boy who had a gun held to his head and was forced into silence and pain. I see him, and I want you to know: he is so proud of you.

He’s proud of the man who chose courage over numbness, who walked into a professional’s office and said, “I need help,” even when it felt impossible. He’s proud that you didn’t let shame have the last word. You chose healing. You chose truth. You chose to become the advocate he never had. If he’d had someone like you back then—someone who speaks up for kids, protects peace, and believes survivors—maybe he wouldn’t have had to carry that weight alone for 18 years. But today, because of you, so many won’t.

I’m proud of the way you keep showing up, even when you’re depleted. I’m proud that you found purpose inside the pain and turned it into light. In just a few months, your first book will enter the world. You’ll step onto stages to speak life into rooms full of people, helping them unpack their own trauma and remember their worth. That is sacred work.

I know this road isn’t easy. Some days, it won’t be pretty. But don’t give up. There are 99 days in 2026—99 days to stay locked in, protect your peace, and prepare for abundance in every area of your life. Keep your boundaries strong. Keep your rituals of rest sacred. Keep your heart steady.

And Kevin, hear this clearly: I am super proud of you. You never changed your heart posture. You remained humble in the kingdom of God, even when the world tried to harden you. You are a force to be reckoned with—fierce, faithful, and focused. You will change the world, not by noise, but by the quiet, consistent service God sees when no one else is watching. Blessings find hearts like yours.

Your mother walked so you could run. So when you feel exhausted and emotionally drained, remember: you were chosen on purpose, for a purpose. You are almost at the finish line of this season, and your angels are cheering you on.

The world needs people like you—tender and strong, honest and unbreakable.

Keep going. Keep writing. Keep speaking. Keep healing. Keep protecting your peace. The boy you were, the man you are, and the leader you’re becoming—they are all proud of you.

With deep love and unwavering belief,
Yourself
